Flow Link
Connect each pair of matching dots with a pipe, without crossing, until the whole board is filled.
What is Flow Link?
Flow Link is a path-drawing puzzle. Each colour has two dots, and you join them with a pipe that runs through touching squares. Pipes cannot cross, and the board is not finished until every square is used.
That last rule is the puzzle. Joining the dots is easy; joining them so that nothing is left empty is what takes thought.
How to play Flow Link
The aim: Connect each pair of matching dots, and fill the whole board doing it.
- Drag between the dots. Start on a dot and drag to its twin. The pipe follows your finger through touching squares.
- Pipes may not cross. Drawing through an existing pipe cuts it back. Redrawing a colour from its dot always starts it over.
- Every square gets used. There is a solution that fills the board completely. If squares are left empty, two pipes are taking a shortcut somewhere.
How scoring works
- Each connected pair pays, so a board left one pipe short still scores.
- Connecting every pair pays a large completion bonus.
- There is no penalty for redrawing.
How a round ends
The round ends when every pair is joined, or when you give up.
Skills it draws on
- Spatial planning
- Path-finding
- Seeing the whole board at once
